We need 2 kaiako to who are passionate about inspiring ākonga to activate their own curiosity and creativity.
You will work closely with our Year 5 and Year 6 tamariki but will often find yourself teaching some of our Year 7 and Year 8s and occasionally our younger ākonga as well.
We are committed to promoting the use of Te Reo Māori and also have a French/English bilingual class so proficiency in these languages may be an advantage for applicants.
As this is a board funded position it will be fixed term for 2023 but may lead to a permanent position in 2024.
This permanent role is based in our Year 0-2 team for 2023 but the successful applicant will be willing and able to teach at any year level in the future.
The successful applicant will take on school wide responsibility and leadership in either PB4L or Enviroschools. They will also be committed to increasing their own Te Reo Māori capability and will actively promote its use in our kura.
This position is not suitable for a first year teacher.
