He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

Parent survey - you can do it!

We have had 40 responses so far and we would love some more.  Please fill out the short and remarkably enjoyable survey if you haven’t done it yet!  This will help us shape the future direction of the school. It should only take you five minutes or so.

Assemblies

We are trying to work out a better way to run our assemblies so the parents at the back can see their beautiful children while they are singing, without the bigger children blocking the smaller ones at any time.  We might trial a few different things over the next few assemblies to try to get it right. In terms of having the assembly online, unfortunately we don’t have the technology to do this properly. We had been using a computer fixed in one location but this means it’s a few children in shot for most of the time. We will have the assemblies at different times to hopefully allow all parents to attend at least some of them if they wish.

Lucky Book Club

Scholastic Issue 6 is now open for LOOP orders. All orders must be made through Scholastic’s website by Tuesday 5th September.

Artsplash

We have pulled out of the Artsplash concert which was coming up mid-September for our senior school.  This was due to lack of interest from the children, the songs they were required to learn and workload. We have decided to focus instead on learning waiata for our Kai and Waiata night in Term 4 on October 19. (The majority of the Artsplash songs were from the musical Wicked and so the whole event didn’t have a culturally responsive feel.)

Calendar Art

Calendar Art orders close next Friday 25th August. If you would like to place an order, please use this form.

Naming clothes, especially with swimming!

Please remember to name your children’s stuff! We have ended up with a couple of bags of unnamed items from the pool which will be hanging on the railings at the main gate at the end of school today. Have a forage and a rummage and see if anything belongs to your child!
