Game Design on the School Website

The Year 7 and 8's entered a game design competition held by the NZ Transport Agency. We made board games and video games. The Teacher fort it was a good idea to do this competition.

The games that we made had certain rules one of them being Road Safety and no violence, if it did have violence or it didn’t involve road safety you can’t submit it.

We decided to enter the competition so we did.

How we came up with the idea was by mind map which is a great way of coming up with ideas. The way it works is you write something in the middle of the page and you branch ideas off of it. In this case you write game design then things about it, like what it looks like then you branch the ideas for what it looks like.

We could learn more about computers and how to make games and to code games and that is why we had made a game. so we could experience making a game and we can work together in a team with other people and so we can have fun and we all did.
