Newsletter Friday 3 September 2021 - probable move to Level 2

At this stage, it seems probable that we will be soon be moving to Level 2. When this happens, these are the things to remember about school in Level 2:

• Parents/caregivers must stay outside the buildings

• There will be sanitiser outside each room for students and staff. Hands must be sanitised before coming into the buildings

• If you do need to come inside, you must sign in

• The office is now closed, but feel free to phone (04 939 8771) or email (office@ridgway.school.nz)

• If your children are sick, you must keep them at home.

A bit of Friday fun

Last year, the staff made a video that you can watch here if you want the chance to reminisce about Lockdown 2020. Ah, the memories. We also put together a video of shared memories which we called 'The Premier Event'. It's amazing how much older everyone looks now, and I'm not just talking about the teachers! Have a watch of the moment Harriette gets told that we have to cancel our event and instead move it online too.

Building delays

Unfortunately, all this lockdown has delayed our building work. We now will not be moving into our new building on the first day of Term 1 next year. The building work has been delayed by a few weeks. Find out more by reading Kathryn's Building Diary.
