Korero with Kathryn - tonight!
From 6.45-7.30pm tonight, Kathryn will host a 'Korero with Kathryn' to talk about behaviour and bullying. Kathryn will explain how we work to create a positive culture at Ridgway School and how we respond to children who need support with their behaviour. This will be in the staffroom so just come to the office and sign in.
Our school app - the parent portal
This week, teachers are posting to your child's blog on our school app. This post is from their Discovery Learning group. You can find the blog function when you go onto the app (picture below). If you have never been on the app, the office will send you an email shortly with the link to sign up. If you have been on before but have forgotten your password, you can reset it when you try to log on. If you have any problems please let office@ridgway.school.nz know. As this is the way we are reporting this year, it is important that all our families are able to get into the app and view the contents. We are happy to help you if you get stuck!
Athletics Day at Level 2
If we are still at Level 2 next week, we will need to cancel our Athletics Day. If we're back in Level 1, we will be going ahead. Watch those alert levels!
Movin' March
If your child walks, scoots or bikes to school they can get a special Movin' March sticker each morning. If they do get driven to school, you can always drop them off or park a bit further away than normal so they can participate. There are also Movin' March passports that get ticked each time they walk, scoot or ride to or from school. Once their passport is full they can add it to the draw to win a little prize pack at the end of March. The passports are available in the classes so ask your child to grab one. They can tick in each circle each time they move their way to school!
