Bonjour à toutes nos familles

Production: The Number 7 Bus

Strap yourself in, it’s about to get complicated.

Our school production this year is a trip on The Number 7 Bus. It is a celebration and ‘bus ride’ through our community, here at school.

  • Kōtare: have you ever wondered what’s out the back of the dairy? We hear a rumour it’s a bit like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory!

  • Tūī: explore Tawatawa Reserve, learn a bit about the history of the place, the pou and be immersed in the forest.

  • Ruru: (in Kahikatea, the basketball court): celebrate our French side with living paintings, puppet shows, songs and more!

  • Kākā and Kererū: an immersive theatre showcase including the tennis club, the VBC (complete with spooky disco) and Vogelmorn Park.

Each ‘show’ lasts 15 minutes.  You will be assigned a space to start in and spend 15 minutes there before moving on to the next space (four spaces in total).

Once you have seen all the shows we will meet back in the courtyard for waiata.

We do ask that you stick to the order on your ticket. It’s also important that you spend the full 15 minutes in each space before moving on.

Numbers are restricted due to space constraints and we have decided to put on a ‘matinee’ show on the same day, starting at 1.30.

The evening show will be finished by 7.30 and the matinee will be finished by 2.45.

For the evening show, if children could be in their spaces ready to go at 5.45 that would be great.

Please fill out this google form indicating the number of tickets and show you would prefer. We will email you a ‘ticket’ with the details.

Ridgway’s Got Talent - auditions

It’s time to polish off those break dancing shoes and magician’s wands!  Auditions for this event are Monday 2nd for the seniors and Tuesday 3rd for the juniors. Children just need to rehearse a little item if they’d like to perform at Ridgway’s Got Talent on 12 December. We often have group dances, songs, gymnastics, jokes, skits and musical instruments being played!
