Bonjour à toutes nos familles
End of year information
Our last learning day is Wednesday 15 December. Children will take their books home from the start of next week. Please re-use any books next year that still have space in them. Thursday is our clean up day. Children do not have to come to school on this day.
Our two last school wide rewards are happening on Tuesday 14 December. There is a sports morning and then a water fight in the afternoon. Children can bring water guns to school and then there is a big organised water fight on the field from 1.30 - 2.30. They can bring togs/wetsuits to wear or will need a change of clothes for afterwards.

Welly Philosophy & Creativity Holiday Programme
Welly Philosophy & Creativity is a new holiday programme offered at Ridgway in January 2022. It invites young people aged 7-14 to grow as critical and creative thinkers in a fun and playful atmosphere. Every day, the programme will include a mix of:
- Philosophical dialogues to explore fascinating questions that matter to young people and to the world;
- Collaborative creative projects, from making witty comic books to putting on whimsical plays;
- Outdoor activities including sports, camp games and scavenger hunts!
This programme was designed by a team of educators and researchers at Victoria University of Wellington, notably Dr Baptiste Roucau and Dr Sondra Bacharach, who both facilitated philosophy workshops at Ridgway in 2018 and 2019.
Dates: January 10-14 for children aged 7 to 10; January 24-28 for children aged 11 to 14.
