Bonjour à toutes nos familles
Upcoming lunch and ice cream sales
To fundraise for camp for our Year 5-8s in Term 1 next year, we are selling ice creams, sausages and burgers this term. These are the dates:
-
Friday 26 November - Ice Creams
-
Friday 3 December - Sausage Sizzle
-
Friday 10 December - Burgers
You need to pre-order for all of these and the order form can be found here.
Volunteers in school and online meetings with parents
Now that vaccine mandate is in place, any parents who volunteer to help in class or on trips need to be vaccinated. Once you volunteer, you will need to fill out this vaccination register. Until the end of the year we will only be meeting parents online, rather than face to face, so please email your child’s teacher if you would like to talk to them.
Lockdown 2021 Survey Feedback
The survey was completed by 19 people and the feedback was generally positive. You can read a summary of the responses in these notes.
Chromebooks for Year 3 - 5
We encourage all children to bring their own chromebook to school and expect that all Year 6, 7&8s will have their own. We have a number of chromebooks for children in Years 3-5 to share if they don’t have their own.
From 2022, chromebooks are the only device that children are allowed to bring to school as other devices do not allow us to see what children are doing online.
Order your devices early so you don’t miss out - can buy them anywhere, including from Norrcom https://www.byod.co.nz/shop/ridgway-school/

We are very happy to welcome our new caretaker Rob Hamilton. He’s an ex-Ridgway parent so some of you might know him. Welcome Rob!
New date for Ridgway’s Got Talent
This is now going to be on Monday 29 November. Unfortunately parents aren’t able to come and watch this year but we will be filming it and will share it with parents afterwards.
Are you a Trademe expert?
We are looking for someone to sell our picnic tables on Trademe. If this is something you’re able to help with please email sarah@ridgway.school.nz.
