School Photos - Day 2
Inspire Photography are coming back on Thursday June 10. They will be doing the out of school sibling photos from 8.30 so you can turn up with your children and head to the sandpit. Sibling photos will be taken across the morning and children will be able to have photos with their friends at morning tea.
Concrete pours - Friday 4th June and Wednesday 16th June
Trucks will be coming into the school building site from around 7am on both these days (weather dependent). They will manage this the same way they have with other pours with someone directing trucks, traffic and pedestrians. They will also have someone down by the tennis courts holding trucks until they're required on site. Please be aware of this when you're coming to and from school on these days.
Reporting and planning in Spotlight
Some teachers are beginning to use Spotlight to plan. This means that they may not be using the "Week at a glance" format that has previously been shared. Some teams are currently using both formats. Parents can use the @school app to see the learning activities planned for their child on any given day by clicking the "Student Timetable" button (seen on the right). Here is the Whānau Reporting Schedule so you can see when to expect what posts on Spotlight.
We know that at the moment Spotlight isn't easy to understand and we are working hard to get it right. Please be patient with us. We have dedicated one of our Teacher Only Days for improving Spotlight. We do need everyone to sign up and those that haven't used it yet this year will get a reminder from the office. The office staff are always happy to help with this so please flick them an email if you're stuck!
Remember Kathryn is having a korero about this next week on Wednesday 9th June, 7 - 8pm to provide more information and answer any questions.
SOS - We are without tissues
Due to an increase in runny noses, we are now all out of tissues! Please send a box of tissues with your child for their class.
Seesaw on the bike track
Please remind your child that this is for one bike at a time. Children jumping on it will break it. We are reminding them at school but if you're with your child on the bike track it would be appreciated if you could reinforce this message.
Lucky Book Club
Here is the link for ordering online. A small number of brochures are available at the office if you would like a hard copy.
