He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles
Stop! Tea-towel time!
It’s (almost) the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the time to look great drying the dishes, bring a pop of colour to your kitchen, or give the gift of these things to those loved ones who have it all. These little beauties will be available to order next week.
Our mural is back up - check it out!
This was a school mural from our old building which we made in 2018, with the help of funding obtained by a clever grandma. She was a member of the Tawa Arts and Crafts Society who were able to apply for money to give to schools and as her grandchildren were at Ridgway, we were the lucky recipients! You can see all the names of the children who were at school that year written around the edges.
Performance opportunity for our Kapa Haka
We have been invited to open the Brooklyn Twilight Festival on Saturday 11th November at 3pm. We would love loads of our keen kapa haka tamariki to come and help our performance shine. They will need to meet at the main stage (at the end of Harrison Street) at 3pm with the performance starting at 3.30pm. Please fill out this form if your child is able to join us.
Message from the Board
Tēnā Koe Te Kura o Tawatawa | Ridgway Whānau
The Board is consulting with our community on a proposed three-year strategic plan for our kura for 2024 to 2026. Please find attached a design of the proposed strategic goals and focus areas, and an overview with more detail on how these were developed. This mahi has drawn on the Board’s recent engagement with our community via in-person interviews and an online survey. Taking on board these views, we now present the proposed strategic plan for comment. We’d like to hear your whakaaro on it.
The Board will hold an in-person hui on 8th November 2023 from 6 -7pm, which will be an opportunity for you to come and ask us questions on the proposal.
Consultation is open from now until Friday the 17 November 2023. Email sarah@ridgway.school.nz with any feedback.
